We hope to use this page to keep members updated on each other.

ARTICLE III. MEMBERSHIP

Section 1. Eligibility

All Students of Smith College are eligible to become active members of the Alliance. This includes but is not limited to Black students. General membership meetings and designated events are open to attendance of the entire Smith College community.

Section 2. Dues

Dues will be paid annually by all students who wish to become active members of the Black Students
Alliance. The dues will be set in the fall of each year by the Treasurer and Chair of the Alliance.

Section 3. Active Membership

A.Becoming Active
a.To become an active member of the Alliance, a student must pay the first installment of her dues or pay the set dues in full
B.Remaining Active
a.To remain active, a student must continue to promptly make dues payments until the balance is paid in full
b.To remain active, a student must attend fifty percent of general body meetings
C.Active Member Privileges
a.Active members shall receive the following privileges
i.Reduced admission to some Black Students Alliance events
ii.The right to vote in all elections
iii.The use of Mwangi Cultural Center and Unity House
iv.The right to utilize equipment belonging to the
Black Student's Alliance
